Dr. Daniel Koehler is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute of Urban Design in Innsbruck, Associate Professor for digital design strategies at the Vilnius Academy of Arts and founding member of the Lab for Environmental Design Strategies. He was also a lecturer at the Sci-Arc, Städelschule and Aalto University. Daniel is the author of the book: “The mereological City: a reading of the works of Ludwig Hilberseimer”. He is also the author of “punktiert” and “bRigid”, open source software packages for the simulation of discrete compositions, based on his experience in teaching. His recent research incorporates digital methods into the study of the city, its history and architecture.
