Monika is Adjunct Professor at College of Architecture at IIT, Chicago. She has been also teaching and lecturing at Architecture Workshop in Venice (organized by IUAV, University of Venice) during Venice Architecture Biennale. She was recently selected for BD+C (Building Design and Construction) 40 under 40 award as “Influential Individual”. Monika is a Founder and Principal of MoNa Architecture, Design and Planning office in Chicago with the partnership in Beijing and Sao Paulo focused on transformative architectural and urban small and large-scale projects that are the physical manifestation of the values which she advocates in her teaching. She is also a founder of “Education for Future” organization focused on designing prototype facilities and providing access to education in third world countries. Her professional experience is diverse and comprehensive including projects for residential, commercial, cultural, institutions, hospitality and government as well as research projects in conjunction with sustainable design at Argon National Laboratory. She has been also teaching and lecturing at International Architectural Summer Workshop at ETSAB in Barcelona.
