Electromagnetic forces
In our daily lives, electromagnetic forces surround us in different ways. Yet, people hardly recognize the presence of these forces by the eyes. The idea aimed to discover new perception of the unseen forces by creating interactive space. The idea is applied to the public passageway in the city. The structure is composed of circular glass unit rolled with electromagnetic coil. Each unit is made of double glazing glass and liquid crystal sheet in between. The electromagnetic coil amplifies forces from the devices that people carry, such as mobile phones. The liquid crystal sheet reacts to the forces ? transparent glass appearance shifts to opaque state according to the amount of forces. The experience of this reaction changes the sense of space along with the movement of people.
